Websites for Counselors

All Counselors began offering websites to therapists on a subscription service in the summer of 2021. For a small monthly fee, therapists could work with the All Counselors team to pick from one of six different templates and build a website. Therapists chose a template and a color scheme, provided headshots and answered a questionnaire, and a member of our team built out the website.

I was brought on to design the five page website templates. To start, I drafted home pages and themes in Sketch based on a wireframe provided by our SEO expert.

When our developer began building the sites using the Kadence theme in WordPress, we realized he would need to make several design changes due to the limitations of the format. We decided I should just jump in and design them in WordPress myself, with the developer on hand to assist as needed.

I had total visual control of the project, with feedback given from our small team. I designed six themes around six imagined personality types, with three color variations per theme. I scoured the internet for royalty-free stock photos of people who looked like they could be therapists that fit the websites.
