A particular joy for me is to press on the limits of a brand, just a little…or maybe a lot! Many program brands at NCTCOG are straight forward, but that comes with some difficulties. The Drive Aware North Texas brand is punchy and dramatic, striking as a single advertisement in a print magazine. But when the DANT team asked me to design a 50-page roadway safety plan, I was hesitant about the impact of the black, red, and tire tracks across an entire long-form document.
