Bitness Labs

Bitness Labs asked me to capture their vibe with a logo and some visual brand guidelines. This husband and wife team described their business as “bringing order from chaos” with “a sort of pleasant terminal computer aesthetic.” They work largely in the technology and developer realm, and wanted something that would communicate “we speak your language and can help you run your business!”

Early sketches and brainstorming are pictured left, with the first three logo concepts below. I picked “reveal” as a guiding concept to summarize their hopes and goals, and portrayed that through a shadow (left) and two magnifying glass concepts (center, right).

After much deliberation over the exact orientation of triangles, we landed on the mark below. Final deliverables included a brand guide with colors and fonts, along with a letterhead and slide templates.
